What do you suppose he thought would happen?

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Reuters) - A Texas man was arrested on Monday after calling police to complain about the theft of his marijuana, authorities said.
Stephen Knight, 17, said three men had broken into his apartment, hogtied him with Christmas lights and stole some marijuana, along with a plasma screen television, police said.
Police are looking for the suspects. In the meantime, they arrested Knight after finding several marijuana plants growing under heat lamps in the apartment, four grams of harvested marijuana and a tablet of ecstasy, Officer Chad Ripley said.
Knight said the men barged into his home early on Monday morning demanding, "Where's the weed?," according to San Antonio police.

Mars
The Red Planet is about to be spectacular!
This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter
that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in
recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the Last 5,000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again. The encounter will culminate on August 27th when Mars comes to within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of -2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide. At a modest 75-power magnification Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. Mars will be easy to spot. At the beginning of August it will rise in the east at 10p.m. and reach its azimuth at about 3 a.m. By the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30a.m. That's pretty convenient to see something that no human being has seen in recorded history. So, mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see Mars grow progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month.
NO ONE ALIVE TODAY WILL EVER SEE THIS AGAIN

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Be safe and don't Drink and Drive (and be careful who you talk to if you have been drinking, they probably won't look as good in the morning.)

Guess the Dictator/Sitcom Character

If you get a chance, go on this website:
http://www.smalltime.com/dictator.html

It is a blast and will blow your mind (if your mind is easily blown, like mine, that is). You don't just have to guess dictators or sitcom characters. It works with cartoons, most reality stars and anyone in hollywood you would normally talk about or make fun of. If it doesn't impress you, you'll at least have something to do when you are bored. I have only stumped it once and I used Kelly's mom from 90210.

The Weekend

I am so glad it is the weekend. It has been crazy at work and I am ready for a break. Not to mention that my baby girl is coming home from Florida tomorrow. UUgghh...another plane ride for me to worry myself sick over. God bring her home safe to me. I have to go to the house I am selling and get the rest of my crap out of it and clean. I never knew how fast wood floors get dirty in a 50 yr.old house. What are your plans for the weekend?

Dream Car!!

This is my new dream car! The 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Isn't it hot? The orange is my favorite, but this was the best picture I saw. I also like the Nissan Z, which looks a lot like this car, but this one is much sleeker. My driving record is being affected just by looking at the picture.

Back to Work

Well, another day another dollar. Back to work we go. I must say I had the best 4th of July celebration I have had in years. We spent the evening with friends at our new home and just talked, drank, and ate. We didn't think we were going to see fireworks, but our neighbors surprised us at about 9pm and gave us a little show. (well, it wasn't really for us, but whatever).

Now that we are all settled in our new house we have been watching the news again. I must say that I didn't miss how depressing it is. Everyday there are new shootings, stabbings, dog dumpings (by PETA members none the less), shark attacks, missing children, bodies of children that were missing and not to mention the billionare embezzlers. What is this world coming to? Has it always been this bad and I was just naieve or oblivious? I remember the first time I got a taste of "the news". I was in college and a story caught my attention. It was about a family on vacation and they took a wrong turn and ended up on someone's "turf" in an alley way. The "owners" of this "turf" started just shooting at the car. The people got out and before the ambulance had gotten there, the news crew was there. The people in the car were grandparents and they had there 3 yr old grandaughter in the back and she had been shot to death. They had her laying on the back of the car weeping over her limp little body. I wasn't even a mother yet and the pain I felt for this family was surreal. I even remeber her name: Jennifer Erickson. That is what caught my attention in the first place. I had gone to school with a Jennifer Erickson many years before that. (not the same girl obviously). I was raised in church, so I have always been a "believer". The day I saw that broadcast, I have to admit, my faith was tested. It is still hard for me to understand things like that, but I guess it isn't my place to question these things.

Sunday Sunday

Well, it is a beautiful Sunday so we are going to have a day at Water Country. Not too exciting, but none the less fun! Hopefully Adam won't make me do another superman at the Aquazoid. (last time we went, at the end of the ride, he flipped the raft and I flew over his head....hince, the Superman).

Anyway, enough chatter, just wanted to bore yall with my mindless chatter once again.

(P.S. - I know the song is "Monday, Monday", but it fit for a title and it isn't Monday, so deal with it.)

I Do, A Thousand Times I Do

Well, I am officially Mrs. Adam Schultz!! It feels so good to finally be married to the man of my dreams. The formal ceremony is November 5th, so everyone will be invited.

Morgan called me at 2:50 and has landed safely in Florida. She loved flying and was excited to be there. I am glad in the midst of all the excitment she remembered to call her mama.

I am going to sit back and have a few beers with my new husband. To all my faithful blog readers.....good evening.

TGIF!

Happy 4th of July weekend!!!! Morgan is going to Disney World with her dad for the week, so she is leaving on a plane in the morning. I'm excited for her, but I am so scared for her to get on a plane. I didn't think it would bother me, but it does. She is only 6 and I am already having to do the "letting go" thing. Our mom's were right....."they grow up so fast". Well, I hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend! I will have a surprise for you all on my next blog entry!

Oh! Don't forget the LIVE 8 concert tomorrow! I am so proud to be a supporter! Check your listings, but I believe it will be telecast live on VH1 and MTV from Noon until 8!
